Our Strengths

Manufacturing and processing a wide variety of products
from large parts for transportation machinery
to a single screw

Hashida Giken Kogyo manufactures and processes approximately 300 products ranging from connecting parts such as screws, nuts, and springs to large parts used in gas turbines, aircraft, and railroads.
The breadth of its business domain is a key strength in achieving sustainable growth and competitive positioning for the company, and provides a variety of benefits, including

  • Able to engage in a wide variety of duties, leading to the improvement of the company's technical capabilities and the creation of new business opportunities.
  • Business development that is not restricted to a specific industry, which will strengthen the company's resistance to economic fluctuations and ensure business stability.
  • A broad product lineup that meets diverse customer needs and contributes to increased customer satisfaction.

While the direct cause of our ability to build the business base we have today is due to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) of multiple companies, the background behind the success of our numerous umbrella businesses is our unique management philosophy and education system, which will be discussed below.
In particular, we believe that instilling a manufacturing and management philosophy into our organization is essential to the success of our businesses after M&A, and we promote the sharing of important management-related awareness, fostering a culture in which employees themselves make improvement proposals, and creating an environment in which they can work proactively.

Strong partnerships with 28 factories and
affiliated companies across the country.

Hashida Giken Kogyo operates its own factories and affiliates in 28 locations throughout Japan (as of February 2024).
By having locations throughout Japan, the company is able to speed up and reduce the cost of logistics for procuring raw materials and delivering them to consumption areas, as well as improve the efficiency of its supply chain. The company can also respond quickly to regional market needs, and this flexibility directly translates into improved customer service.
In addition, the geographic dispersion of locations reduces business risks arising from natural disasters and regional economic fluctuations.

Another advantage is the broad access to the local labor market from each location. While a shortage of human resources is one of the major challenges facing the manufacturing industry, this advantage allows the company to secure a diverse workforce and to expect business development that takes advantage of their expertise. In addition, their contribution to the local economy and collaboration with the local community will also contribute to improving the company's image.

At the same time, in order to foster a sense of unity and achieve efficient operations within an organization with geographical and industry diversity, we are promoting the following initiatives.

  • Establish an internal scheme including meeting materials to clarify the direction of the entire organization through prompt decision-making by upper management.
  • Strive to unify rules for core operations such as general affairs, human resources, and accounting, and ensure consistent operation at all locations to improve efficiency and transparency of administrative operations.
  • Aiming to improve the productivity of the entire organization by establishing rules and regulations to enable the group to work efficiently.

Unchanging Management Philosophy:
“Create People, Sell Techniques”

Since its foundation, Hashida Giken Kogyo has always valued its corporate motto, “Create People, Sell Techniques” .

Creating
People

Based on the belief that “people are a company's greatest asset,” we invest resources in employee education and training.
One such initiative is the weekly “Management School. The purpose of this program is to help employees grow in character and improve their work skills, and to cultivate qualities that will enable them to rise to the top as human beings, such as “having an honest heart,” “judging things based on right and wrong rather than profit and loss,” and “being willing to tackle their work.
We also regard the “Suggestions for Improvement” activity, in which employees come up with and share ideas for improving work processes in any way possible, as an important element of human resource development.
These efforts embody our philosophy that each employee can achieve self-fulfillment through personal growth while also contributing to the growth of the company as a whole.

Sell
Techniques

Recognizing the importance of providing high value-added technologies and services in addition to simply producing products, we are working to continuously strengthen our technological and manufacturing capabilities.
The core of these efforts is our “Improvement Proposal” activity, in which we actively solicit suggestions from employees at meetings, etc., and have established a system to reflect them in actual work processes and product quality improvement. In addition, “Production Management Presentations” are held at each factory every month. Information and best practices related to production management, improvement activities, quality activities, inventory control, etc. are shared throughout the company in an effort to improve each other's skills.
Furthermore, as part of technological innovation, we will aggressively introduce new facilities, including a capital investment of more than 100 million yen in 2023 alone, to realize the provision of efficient and high-quality products.
“Selling” the technological capabilities developed through these company-wide activities to the market is an important strategy for increasing the company's competitiveness.
